CRM Strategic Specialist

KERN is seeking a seasoned CRM strategic consultant to drive new logo revenues for the agency. We are seeking an expert who can ensure that current clients and prospective clients are optimizing their investments in an array of CRM-marketing- communications activities and programs.

Primary Responsibilities: Revenue Generation Through CRM Solution Creation and Presentation

  • Responsible for generating and attracting leads, identifying qualified targets, building relationships with clients and closing sales
  • Develop strategies for obtaining new business B2C CRM agency engagements
  • Generate leads through social networking, relationship building, and external engagement and contact methodologies 
  • Content creation and social sharing
  • Effectively prospect, build client relationships, generate leads and acquire new accounts by cultivating and maintaining relationships with prospective clients in various stages of interest
  • Qualify prospects to ensure they meet minimum revenue standards and service needs
  • Provide support and documentation to prospects regarding the agency’s services
  • Identify and qualify interested prospects and create “discovery” meeting events within targeted time frames
  • Conduct sales “discovery” meetings via phone or in person, to assess opportunity
  • Gather needed information to begin the proposal process, and present solutions to prospect in a “trial close” conversation
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, and complete sales proposals that win new business 
  • Provide clear requests in proposal documents to direct-support departments and ensure efficient and accurate production of media recommendations, quotes for print and online services, and production schedules
  • Provide support to and work with account teams to ensure a smooth hand-off from closing to project launch 
  • Direct contact with senior client leadership, in concert with president and SVP
  • Presentation of strategies, creative, media and results
  • Quarterly business review and value-add idea delivery to senior clients
  • Collaboration with VPs of Client Services to ensure that program implementations meet program and creative guidelines/standards. Provide feedback on agency service levels from client perspectives.

Ideal Background for This Position

  • Extensive experience in the development and sales of multi-channel CRM programs to F500 senior marketers
  • Expertise in customer and prospect digital, direct and database marketing
  • Strong background in customer acquisition, retention, loyalty, upsell, cross-sell and winback strategies
  • Expertise in consultative and strategic sales, and in presenting digital, direct marketing and data-driven solutions and services
  • Knowledge of newest marketing strategies, tactics, channels and social media, and how to incorporate them into sales proposals for prospective clients
  • A passionate and articulate communicator capable of inspiring confidence in prospective clients and current clients to engage KERN as their agency

  • Is proficient with Microsoft Office applications, specifically PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Adept at having the exceptional ability to have effective conversations with key marketing decision-makers
  • Brings to the agency exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Has excellent networking skills
  • Can have creative and relevant conversations on a wide range of marketing topics and trends, and adjust their communication style to the target audience
  • Presents the agency in a professional manner, from dress to presentation tone
  • Is able and willing to travel
